Hi everybody! I'm bridget and in these last few days of summer read this blog!
This summer me and my family went to the beautiful southwest portion of america. We stayed in vegas for a night, then moved on to the grand canyon. It is amazing. My advice for you if you ever go there: drink lots of water. It is easy breezy going down, but pretty steep going up. keep hydrated.
soon after we left the canyon and went to another national park, walnut canyon. this was a paved road though. Thank god. You could look across the canyon and see these amazing cave dwellings were people actualy lived! It makes you think how often little kids went over the edge. two canyons in 1 day! amazing.
then, we were out of walnut canyon and on to Sedona, Arizona. watch out for rocks. big, red, rocks. It is an amazing view there, and that makes up for the heat. The native americans who lived there, before it became a city, believed that some of the huge rocks structures there were places of healing, or a vortex, and held ceremonies there. one of these vortexes was Bell rock, and we went to go climb it. It was incredible, fun, and, well, hot. soon me and my brother were climbing higher, and then my dad was coming to tell us to come down. my mom was left on her own. she decided that she was going to go get us, and before she knew it she was stuck on a steep rock with a big drop at the end. and in a few moments, my brother was flying up to save her. Dadadada! super duncan!
the next day, we enjoy our selves in a little town outside of palm springs. and suddenly, the next thing I know I am inside of a little church in santa monica. smiling as I watch my cousin walking down the aisle in a beautiful white dress. She looked gorgeous! we went to the reception, ate, danced, laughed, and talked about what a perfect wedding it was. The next day I am at the airport, about to board a plane back home. As I sit down on the blue cushioned seats, I find it hard to believe that I'm going home already. I wish I could stay there and keep going back, again and again. Now, 2 weeks later, I think ahead to the up coming school year. I shudder. well, at least now I can look forward to halloween! boo!
enjoy! comment here!
